About the employer:

Here at Branching Out Newark we offer a strengths based support service which aims to build the skills, confidence and independence of the young people who come through our doors.  This busy and dynamic service needs motivated Support Workers, day & night to encourage our young people to be the best version of themselves. Being a young person is tough, help us to lead future generations.

About the role:

Our team play a critical role in advocating for our tenants. From liaising with agencies to help them access permanent accommodation to supporting them to access education or employment training Branching Out do it all.

There’s still time for fun though as you will also support and encourage activities such as football, sports and activities.

As a Night Support Worker, you will be undertaking a varied range of tasks on the night shift. Not one day is the same as you will be involved in site management, operating security surveillance, conducting health and safety checks of the building. You will be on hand to offer support and guidance to our young people and helping with any issues or concerns they may have.

Working with us as a Day Support Worker, you will support practical activities such as shopping, tenancy maintenance such as cleaning or budgeting. Wellbeing is a strong focus at NCHA so you will offer high quality, person centred support as well as adhering to Health and Safety.  Change can sometimes be hard so you could face behaviours that challenge, your patient and assertive nature will make sure this doesn’t escalate and make sure there are positive outcomes consistently.

Hours of work:

Working on a rota basis means you will need to be flexible. Our service operates 24/7, however we have Day and Night opportunities available. Daytime staff typically work either 08:00 – 15:30 or 14:30 – 22:00.  Night staff work from 21:45pm until 07:00am. So whether you wake up ready to seize the day or you are a night owl, we can accommodate your preference.
