About the role:
Working closely with the Prevent Coordinator, this role will help build effective engagement with our voluntary and community sector organisations, faith communities and other strategic partners across the City. You will also work closely with services across the Council ensuring that the organisation is meeting its Prevent Duty. You will also work closely with the Nottingham City Safeguarding Children Partnership to develop the most appropriate training packages and lesson resources to ensure that schools are fulfilling their requirements under the Prevent Duty.
You will act as the point of contact for the Department for Education and the Home Office on Prevent delivery in education settings, provide expert advice on safeguarding concerns pertaining to radicalisation and extremism, and develop and deliver regular training sessions to staff from the education sector.
