About the employer:

Our counselling service is partnered with Be U Notts who are the new provider for early support and intervention for children and young people In Nottinghamshire.

About the role:

The successful applicant will be based within a large secondary school in Rainworth,
Nottinghamshire weekdays during school hours and will be responsible for the
implementation of the counselling service on behalf of Base 51. The role will include
management a waitlist of clients referred to them by school staff, conducting initial
assessments to determine the appropriate support, offering one to one counselling
sessions, drop in’s and group work where applicable, and working with school
safeguarding teams to ensure safe, ethical and appropriate support is provided. The
successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining appropriate notes and
documentation in line with GDPR and the monitoring of the service, reporting to
Base 51 counselling manager.
This role is term time only and will run between September 2022 and July 2023,
excluding half terms (as set by the school).
The successful applicant will be a qualified counsellor (minimum level 4 diploma)
with accreditation from a recognised governing body (such as BACP/NCS etc.) or be
eligible to work towards.
Ideally you will have experience working within schools or with young people in some
capacity and have a flexible, creative approach to counselling, ensuring inclusivity
and accessibility for all.

Hours of work:

25 hours per week
