We have an exciting opportunity for an empathetic, caring individual to provide a Patients’ Representative Service to older patients, based at Lings Bar Hospital.
Do you have the skills to represent, advocate and support patients and their families, enabling them to make informed decisions around a wide variety of issues during their hospital stay and discharge? Would you like a busy role which sees you working in the hospital, liaising with statutory services and other third-party organisations, as well as making home visits across Nottingham City & County to help facilitate discharge and provide post-discharge support. Then if so, we’d like to hear from you!
Candidates should have a good understanding of the needs and concerns of older people. Whilst it would be beneficial for someone to have experience of providing advocacy or working in a hospital setting, it is not essential as full training will be given. You will be self-motivated, yet a team player, with excellent communication, organisational and strong IT skills, and be committed to the values of Age UK Notts. Applicants must hold a full driving licence and have access to a car.
As an employee of Age UK Nottingham & Nottinghamshire you will be eligible for our attractive package which includes 24 days annual leave (Pro Rata), public holidays, flexible working and a 4% employer contribution pension (in line with auto-enrolment rules).
