Apprenticeships

Apprenticeships are a great opportunity to gain industry-recognised qualifications and essential skills while you are working and earning a wage. Due to significant changes that the Government announced in early 2017, there is now a wider range of career pathways through Apprenticeships with a lot progressing to degree level. Apprenticeships are also available to anyone, irrespective of age or academic background.

Many of our apprentices are taken on permanently by employers at the end of the apprenticeship.

Traineeships

You may want to consider a traineeship, this could lead on to an apprenticeship. These are sector specific support programmes that combine training with on-the-job experience as part of a recognised qualification that can help prepare you for an apprenticeship role. They are usually unpaid but an attendance allowance is sometimes available.

Higher and Degree Apprenticeships
Higher and Degree Apprenticeships are available at levels 4 to 7. They combine paid work with study and may include a qualification dependant on the area studied. Completing a Higher or Degree apprenticeships means you do not have to pay tuition fees as all the costs of training are paid by your employer.
