ATTFE is a training provider that specialises in moving those into work and employment who are the most disadvantaged within their communities, and who are the furthest from the labour market.

We are based in north Nottinghamshire and the northern edge of Nottingham city, primarily within the most socio-economically challenged areas and wards, with our main bases in Sutton-in-Ashfield, and in New Ollerton and Boughton.

We provide support to individuals who are unexpectedly out of work and seeking a rapid return and to those who have been unemployed and/or economically inactive for a long time, including:

  • Information, Advice and Guidance
  • Detailed initial assessment and diagnostics
  • Accredited training and qualifications
  • Personal guidance and welfare
  • Direct job search, application and acquisition support

This includes adults in north Nottinghamshire’s communities who have experienced mental health problems, long-term limiting illnesses and medical conditions, and who have no or very low-level prior qualifications to offer to employers.

ATTFE provides access to accredited and certified training which include sector-specific introductions for specific jobs in demand in the area, such as logistics and warehousing, and construction. It also includes access to training and qualifications in the work-related skills most sought by employers, such as English, maths and ICT alongside the ‘soft skills’ like team working and decision-making.

We remain with our clients through the job-finding process via our Job Clubs in Sutton and Ollerton, and through our links with employers and the labour market. This includes specific work with individual employers through our Sector Based Work Academies so that our clients who complete targeted training are guaranteed interviews. This means that our support goes right up to the point of employment.
