Full and Part Time opportunities

Shift patterns;

  • Earlys 7am-3pm
  • Days 10am-5pm
  • Lates 3pm-10pm

Looking to build a career within the care sector; Autism East Midlands offer career progression and support staff in moving up the career ladder.

Development plan includes 2 weeks training prior to shadowing experienced staff where you will gain a number of care certificates. 2 weeks shadowing experienced staff before working solo and then once completed 9 month probation period the opportunity to develop further – Autism Practitioner – RSW1 & RSW2, NVQ and diploma training and a management program should you want to go to management level.

As a support worker your day will look like:

  • You will be assigned a key adult and play a pivotal role in their days they receive support, attending reviews and liaising with external agencies
  • Support young people with social and community inclusion
  • Be the young person’s champion and as part of the wider team strive to ensure that they achieve their aspirations and full potential
  • Manage the well-being and positive behaviour of autistic adults ensuring that their needs beliefs and cultural values are met
  • Assist senior staff with the writing and maintaining of Positive Behavioural Support Plans, Risk Assessments and Session Plans.
  • Supporting a person with personal care and other complex health needs, ensuring that persons dignity and independence is promoted
  • Support and encourage educational engagement

Virtual Selection day:

14th Jan at 10am via teams (you will receive the invite the day before)

Pre-employment training:

Date: 18th Jan - 29th Jan Monday-Friday

Time: 9.30am-3.30pm

Equipment needed: Laptop or Computer to log into teams and to complete workbooks.

Work experience and Guaranteed job interviews will be offered during the training.
