See yourself providing outstanding support to 16-24yr old Care Leavers in Nottingham with a variety of barriers to education, employment and training?
We are recruiting a Careers Coach to support this vulnerable client group who are at risk of not engaging in education, employment and training (EET).
The successful applicant will have the passion, determination and experience, to engage young people, raising their aspirations and self-confidence.You must also have the skills and determination to work intensively with them, varying delivery method, location and working hours to meet client and contract need.You will develop partnerships and broker access to a variety of support services thereby enabling young people to reach their full potential and to access unlimited possibilities.
The successful candidate will:
Qualified to NVQ3 / A Level standard. Ability and commitment to successfully complete a NVQ 4 Advice and Guidance.
Have proven experience of effectively working with and engaging vulnerable young people (aged 16-24)
Knowledge and understanding of the barriers and issues affecting Care Leavers, especially those with multiple and complex needs.
Able to form effective relationships with colleagues and partners to the benefit of young people.
Flexibility and willingness to vary delivery method, location and working hours to meet client need.
Be able to plan, control and monitor own work and time, to set targets and standards whilst working under pressure.
Able to keep accurate records to ensure monitoring and tracking progress of young people, embracing and optimising the use of ICT within the role.
