The Kickstart Scheme is the creation of new 6-month job placements for young people (aged 16-24-years-old) who are currently on universal credit and at risk of long-term unemployment.

Robin Hood Dungeon is part of the Geek Retreat Franchise as Greek Retreat Nottingham in the city center offering Tabletop games, such as Dungeons & Dragons, Magic the Gathering, Yugioh, Board Games and geeky merchandise They are now looking for an event coordinator:

The event coordinator assistant will work with the team to plan, organise, and coordinate events both face to face and online. Connect with the social media team to ensure advertising of events, plus connect and discuss trends in the industry.

Daily Tasks

  • Design, create and run events
  • Events can range between
  • In-store card games which involved multiple pods of 8 (covid rules willing)
  • Board Game or miniature competitions of 2-6 people (covid rules willing)
  • Coming up with original ideas for events
  • Agreeing budgets and timescales with management
  • Booking entertainment, equipment and supplies
  • Publicising the event
  • Making sure that everything runs smoothly on the day
  • Ensuring that health, safety and insurance regulations are followed
  • Getting involved in new online based events run from the store

Skills and Experience

  • The ability to multitask in a busy and noisy environment
  • Good IT Skills
  • Ability to report and meet deadlines for project content
  • Understanding of Tabletop games and competitions, especially card games

Working Pattern of the 25 hours per week:

Monday to Friday 4pm to 10pm - Weekends 10am to 6pm – flexibility around those hours to work with the team
