Nottingham Jobs and partners across the region have recently been awarded funding from the European Social Fund to help more local people into work.

This extra funding has helped Nottingham Jobs to set up two new projects for people living in Nottingham city (and also Nottinghamshire too) to provide employment and skills support.

GetAhead offers activities to help people who are facing employment barriers or challenges prepare for work or find a job. Activities are run in local communities and include:

  • Work experience
  • Volunteering
  • Functional skills support
  • Help and support to get a job and stay in employment
  • Referrals to other relevant support agencies

If you live in Nottingham or Nottinghamshire, GetAhead could be for you. Contact your nearest GetAhead provider:

Futures - if you live in Nottingham and Greater Nottingham

  • The Bestwood Partnership - if you live in Bestwood or Bulwell
  • The Bridges Community Trust - if you live in Meadows or Clifton

The GetAhead Project is part-financed by Nottingham City Council and the European Union through the European Social Fund (ESF).
