Glendale are recruiting for Grounds Maintenance Operatives. Attend this Information session to find out more.

  • Activities include grass cutting, strimming, sweeping and blowing paths and litter picking
  • Training provided for use of hand tools, blowers, lawn mowers & manual handling
  • All personal protective equipment and uniforms provided

Information

  • Job Role: 4 vacancies (2 in early March, 2 in early April) Grounds Maintenance Operative 
  • Salary: National Minimum Wage
  • Hours: 40 hrs per week (7.30 am – 4.00pm- Mon - Fri, half an hour for lunch)
  • Duration: 26 weeks minimum
  • Start Date: Early March & Early April
  • Holidays 10 plus bank holidays
  • Workplace: Stamford Court, Bestwood, Nottingham

ELIGIBILITY – PLEASE NOTE AGE RESTRICTION

  • 19+ (must have turned 19 by 31st August 2019)
  • In receipt of benefit
  • Signed on but still awaiting first payment
  • Low earner people with a wage of less than £16,000
  • People would need to show ID either a valid passport or a birth certificate sometimes a Driving licence will suffice
  • Proof of benefit letter dated in the last 3 months.
  • Minimum Entry level 3 in maths and English

STAGE 1 – ATTEND ONE AWARENESS SESSION: - (1.5 hours)

Awareness Session:Weds 29th Jan - Nottingham Parliament St JCP 10.30 – 12.00

STAGE 2 – COMPLETE ONE WEEK TRAINING

Training: Monday 3rd February – Friday 7th Februay 10.30am – 3.30pm Venue TBC       

STAGE 3 – ATTEND AN INTERVIEW: 

Interview: w/c Monday 17th February 2020

During the training you will receive the following accredited qualifications:

  • Introduction to Facilities Industry (NCFE Level 1)
  • Certificate in Employability (NCFE Level 1)
  • Plus sharps handling & needle disposal, H & S and Customer Care
