The Organisations below have received funding from Nottingham City Council’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund to deliver projects aimed at supporting City residents who are economically inactive and long-term unemployed to progress in employment.

Working Well East Midlands Individual Placement and Support in Primary Care

Helping people with physical and mental health needs to find the right job, return to work after long-term sickness or keep their current job.

Our Employment Specialists provide free advice and support to help overcome a wide range of work-related barriers, as well as offering in-work support for both the employee and the employer.

How can Working Well East Midlands help me? 

  • Decide what types of jobs would best suit you, your circumstances and your health needs
  • Work out what benefits and support you are entitled to while working 
  • Understand what jobs are out there and help you get into new lines of work 
  • Manage your health and wellbeing so that you feel able to work 
  • Tackle any other problems that prevent you from working
  • Find and apply for jobs including writing CVs, letters and application forms 
  • Get ready for job interviews and feel confident talking to employers.

The ‘Nottingham City Business Growth Hub Team’

Acting as the first point of contact for all businesses in Nottingham City, delivering impartial and professional support, there are a range of services available, including: advice, mentoring, training, access to finance, energy efficiency and sustainability planning, events and webinars and equal opportunity and diversity provision.

The Nottingham City Business Growth Hub Team is Supported by the 2023 to 2025 UK Shared Prosperity Fund as part of the UK Government’s levelling up agenda. This new funding stream has allowed us to provide localised support to businesses, focussed on the specific priorities and needs of our city.

We are operating alongside a number of delivery partners on our SPF contract including The University of Nottingham, Nottingham Trent University, NBV Enterprise Solutions, Medilink, Invest in Nottingham and Visit Nottingham to provide a full package of support across the city.

The Business Growth Team within Nottingham City Council are also working in conjunction with key support providers, the D2N2 Growth Hub and East Midlands Chamber to ensure that businesses have access to a wide range of provision and can be brokered into the right opportunities to support growth and sustainability.
