About the employer:
Cornwater Evergreens is an older people’s charity which has been successfully serving the community for over 20 years. Based in Ravenshead, we run Friendship Clubs offering a welcoming environment where older people can socialise and form long lasting friendships; enjoy a varied and stimulating activities programme and share a meal together. We are passionate about helping to reduce feelings of loneliness and encourage independence in our members. As the new CEO you will be joining a small, enthusiastic team at an exciting time as we look to develop and extend these services into other geographical areas.
About the role:
You will provide strong leadership to a team of 9 staff and 40 volunteers and be the driving force in developing and implementing Cornwater Evergreens strategic plans, leading on business development and acting as the Ambassador for the charity. The role holder will provide operational management and financial control and ensure good governance across all aspects of the organisation. The role is supported by a Board of Trustees, with a range of skills to provide the required governance
We are looking for a candidate who will be an effective team player, as well as have the ability to rely on their own initiative as this is an autonomous, hands-on role. You must be able to demonstrate the highest levels of integrity, provide energy and be adaptable. You will have an understanding of the demands and responsibilities of working with adults who access a range of social care support services and have previous experience of managing staff.
The role is predominantly based at the Ravenshead site where free parking is available. Some travel to our charity shop in Mansfield and local hub sites is expected.
The role is 30 hours per week, Monday – Friday 8:45 am-2:45 pm, however the role requires flexibility to work outside of these working hours.
Uniform is provided. Accessibility to a car would be desirable. Free on-site parking.
Salary: £31,637, based on a 30-hour position (£39,526 Full time rate)
