Job Description
Domestic Abuse Support Service for Males & Self Identifying Males.
This is an exciting opportunity to join Equation, a Nottinghamshire-based, award-winning and innovative charity dedicated to preventing and responding to domestic abuse.
We are looking for an empathetic and sensitive Helpline & Admin Project Worker to work as part of our growing Domestic Abuse Support Service for Men team. This is a fantastic role for someone who is passionate about domestic abuse support and prevention.
The role will involve a balance between admin and helpline tasks but calls from survivors will be the priority. The successful candidate will be responsible for triaging helpline calls, inputting referrals and maintaining administrative functions. You will need to be a team player, be organised and flexible, and whilst abiding by GDPR and maintaining confidentiality.
Previous experience in domestic abuse or frontline work is not essential as a full induction and training plan will be put in place for the successful candidate, including sufficient domestic abuse training. However, we would ideally like an individual that has strong administration skills and experience clearly communicating via phone and email.
We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applicants from all sections of the community. We welcome applicants from all genders and particularly those from disabled, LGBTQ+ and BAME backgrounds, as these communities are currently under-represented in our team. Appointment will be based on merit alone.
