Family Learning Tutor – Maternity cover

Salary range (pro rata): £26,000 to £30,000

Interested in working with adults, helping them to support their children’s learning and behaviour in school, as well as at home? Class sizes of 7-10 adults plus children for some courses.
Life Education Centre East Midlands are looking for an active, outgoing and enthusiastic tutor to join our small and supportive team to work in schools throughout Nottinghamshire and Nottingham City. Our courses are mostly Mental Health and Wellbeing, including internet safety. There are two IT based courses as well, but this is not essential. All teaching resources, including schemes of work, lesson plans, PowerPoints and IT equipment are provided.

This is a temporary full time teaching post, covering a maternity leave.

You will have:
• An adult education or PGCE teaching qualifications/experience, knowledge and proven skills in Wellbeing and PSHE
• the ability and willingness to travel, using your own transport, to schools throughout the region at the times necessary
• This is an active role involving gentle movement and carrying of lightweight equipment.
• The successful candidate will be supported by a strong, friendly team, whilst at the same time working from home.
