About the employer:

We’re situated close to Nottingham city centre and within striking distance of the beautiful Nottinghamshire countryside, making Gedling a great place to live and work.

We are home to nearly 115,000 residents and we have 55,000 properties. We recently opened the Gedling Country Park, the first destination park of its kind in the borough, we also manage and maintain over 50 parks and open spaces. We have five leisure centres and a theatre in the borough, all managed by the council.

About the role:

Neighbourhood Wardens make a significant contribution to our community by ensuring Gedling Borough is a cohesive, diverse and safe place to live. You will work within a team of wardens and partners addressing anti-social behaviour and environmental crime.

The job is varied and every day is different. Fully qualified, you will be responsible for problem solving and working with partners to:

• Manage environmental nuisances such as anti-social behaviour and abandoned vehicles
• Issue fixed penalty notices for various offences including, littering, fly tipping, dog fouling and enforcing current PSPO’s.
• Engage with schools, businesses and the community to educate and inform.
