About the role:
The successful candidate will play an integral part in the management of the Council’s Private Finance Initiative (PFI) Contracts. These are complex agreements that impact on the lives of our citizens, covering areas such as the tram, street lighting and schools. The management of these contracts and our contractors’ performance is key to making sure that a good service is provided in these areas.
The role will be varied and challenging, with a focus not only on contract management, monitoring the services being delivered by our partners, but also assisting in the Councils’ preparations for when its PFI contracts reach their expiry dates. The job involves having a good understanding of the underlying contracts involved, particularly in relation to the performance and payments sections, as well as working closely with our partners delivering the services.
