Job Description

  • Social Worker Level 1 – Newly qualified, eligible to commence the ASYE programme

 
Salary £26,446 – £28,226 
(Nottingham City Council Adult Social Care offer a robust ASYE programme for newly qualified Social Workers)

  • Social Worker Level 2 – ASYE completed within the last 12 months, building experience and competency

 
Salary £30,095 – £31,895
 

  • Social Worker Level 3 – Experienced Social Worker with at least 12 months post-ASYE experience

 
Salary £34,373 – £36,371
 

  • Social Worker Level 4 – Advanced Social Worker, holding AMHP, BIA or Practice Educator status

 
Salary £39,571 – £41,591

Team Information

The Community Prevention Team works with adults 18 years of age and over, with a range of needs.

The work undertaken by the team is varied, at times challenging but also very rewarding.  The Community Prevention Team is a great team to work in to expand your skills and knowledge due to the areas of work we are responsible for.

For example:

  • Supporting adults and their carers; some of whom may struggle to engage in the assessment, support planning and provision of care.
  • Undertakes Adult Care Assessments for children transitioning from Children Looked After Teams.
  • Court assessments for the Court of Protection.
  • Decision Support Tools relating to Continuing Health Care.
  • Social Circumstances Reports for Mental Health Tribunals.

We have a Hybrid model of working in the Community Prevention Team and therefore you will have the opportunity to work from home and an office base. We are based at Mary Potter Health Centre, Hyson Green, Nottingham.

Social workers are supported and actively encouraged to develop, with a clear progression model for four grades of social workers.

Essential Requirements
 

  1. Professional qualification in Social Work (Degree in Social work, Dip SW, CQSW, CSS etc.) and evidence of current Social Work England registration
  2. Comprehensive knowledge and application of legal, policy frameworks and research which inform and mandate Social Work practice
  3. Comprehensive workload management techniques including prioritisation, risk management and time management
  4. Evidence of a range of approaches to challenge discrimination and inequalities
