Futures are working in partnership with Nottingham City Homes (NCH) in order to help support their recruitment of apprenticeships to help support and develop the excellent service that is offered to their tenants across the city.  Attend this Information Session to find out more details.

Through this recruitment drive, NCH will be looking to recruit a total 6 apprentices, 2 of which will be Customer Service roles based in their contact centre , where they will be receiving calls from NCH tenants to support them and their families with any issues that may arise. The remaining 4 roles will be offered as a role of caretaker which will involve the apprentice learning the skills needed to provide the practical support to tenants as well as preparing homes ready for allocation. Through both roles, candidates will be supported to not only become a key part of the NCH team, but will have the chance to develop their skills and learn a trade at the same time.

This pre-employment training will give candidates a chance to upskill themselves and gain a good understanding of the importance of providing excellent customer service by showing them how to both represent themselves and that of NCH to not only tenants, but also any other residents or visitors of Nottingham City as would be expected by the NCH and the City Council.

All candidates who enter onto the programme will be guaranteed an interview for one of the roles available upon satisfactory attendance and commitment to the programme which will consist of a number of qualifications (detailed below), including Customer Service, Employability, Health and Safety*

Please note, that all applicants will be required to complete a short work experience placement to ensure the role is suitable for both the employer and the applicant.

Course delivery - 30th Sept to 04th Oct, 07th to 11th October & 14th October
Work Experience - One day during15th to 18th October
Job Interview - During w/c 21st October

Throughout the pre-employment training element, the learners will complete the following qualification/s:
• City and Guilds Level 1 in Customer Service
• City and Guilds Level 1 in Employability
• An Introduction to Health and Safety at Work (offered to those that are applying for the caretaking vacancies)

All accredited courses will be certificated through the awarding body once completion of learning has been approved

Eligibility:
You can attend this course if you are:

  • Aged 19 years old or over
  • Have lived in the UK or a European Economic Area (EEA) Member state for the last three years or more or be an Individual or Asylum Seeker with certain types of immigration status*
  • Are actively seeking employment and claiming an unemployment benefit of either: Universal Credit, Job Seekers Allowance or Employment Support Allowance (WRAG) **
  • OR Must be earning under £16,009.50 annual gross salary and be able to commit to the course.
