We are looking for a Restaurant & Conference Manager to join our Hospitality team.

The Restaurant & Conference Manager will be responsible for managing the Spotlight Bar and the Restaurant & Conference facilities at the Motorpoint Arena Nottingham.

The Restaurant & Conference Manager will ensure that our customers receive the best quality of service whilst looking for opportunities to maximise sales and upgrade opportunities.


In addition, the Restaurant & Conference Manager will:

  • Commit to deliver the highest standard of food and service within all restaurant and conference areas
  • Train, supervise and motivate members of the team including briefing of staff on event days
  • Maximise sale opportunities and drive sales through optimising performance of all staff at all levels
  • Work with the hospitality sales team to understand hospitality guest attendance of the event and work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to manage a day-to-day operation
  • Manage the bookings diary and liaise with group bookings and assist in the organisation of pre orders
  • Handle guest comments and complaints in the appropriate manner according to company’s policies and communicate to Management. Whilst making suggestions for future improvements.
  • Organise and take control of all aspects of the planning, organisation and on the day management of conference and events for up to 250 people
  • Responsible for driving sales through restaurants on event days and non-event days
  • Plan, organise and work alongside the sales and marketing team all aspects of the event from planning, promotion, logistics, on the day management, follow up and budgeting.
  • Initiate and organise planning meetings with relevant parties with both client and internal departments.
  • Handle administrative duties i.e. holidays, approval of hours, rotas in accordance with policies and procedures.

The Restaurant & Conference Manager will need to be organised and have strong IT skills in order to manage bookings, communicate with customers and assist with budgets for events.    They will have previous experience of working within a restaurant, conference, or event environment with the ability to train and develop their team.


With previous experience of dealing with comments and complaints, applicants will be able to work under pressure, have a keen attention to detail and high standards of service.
