Role Senior Employer Engagement & Apprenticeship Officer
Closing date 17/08/2018

Nottingham City Council is seeking a dynamic business focused individual to fill the post of Senior Employer Engagement & Apprenticeship Officer (EEAO) working within our award winning Nottingham Jobs Hub service.

Summary of role requirements:

With experience of economic development, recruitment, employment and skills, further education or a related discipline the ideal candidate must excel at working with employers, able to understand all their workforce needs and articulate innovative and creative solutions that encourage employers to access Jobs Hub services and take up our offer in full.

Reporting to the Jobs Hub Partnership Manager the Senior EEAO will take the lead on employer engagement for the service, devising a marketing and sales strategy and providing supervision and leadership to colleagues within the Employer Engagement and Nottingham Jobs Fund teams.

The post will also have a specific focus on apprenticeships, working with training providers and employers to increase the number of apprenticeship opportunities in Nottingham by either creating new apprenticeship opportunities or converting existing roles into apprenticeships.

Nottingham Jobs is made up of colleagues from Nottingham City Council, the Department for Work & Pensions, and Futures Advice, Skills & Employment so experience of partnership working is an essential requirement for this post with the ability to understand the different priorities of partners and deliver solutions that satisfy all objectives.

The Senior EEAO will also deputise for the Jobs Hub Manager where required, reporting to the senior managers that comprise the Nottingham Jobs Hub Steering Group.

The post is funded until December 2019, but the Nottingham Jobs partners are committed to sustaining the Jobs Hub service and will endeavour to secure external funding to retain the Senior EEAO role beyond that date.
