Qualified Social Media Executive required for the rapidly expanding Cake Decorating Co.

We currently have a vacancy for Social Media Executive to start immediately.

This busy full-time role will be to manage The Cake Decorating Co. social media channels (which includes Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest and Twitter) as well as other associated brands (7-10 brands in total).

Managing these pages includes (but is not limited to) producing original, engaging, creative, innovative content for regularly scheduled posts, which educate and entertain our audiences and promote brand-focused messages. Content should coincide with larger marketing goals. The monitoring of and responding to online mentions, producing competitor reports, driving revenue generating traffic while maintain and increasing engagement and running paid advertising campaigns. You will also undertake research to analyse social media trends, including social media ad revenue and web visitor data.

Experience of or an interest in cake decorating would be preferred so you can really engage with the content creation. You will be expected to be hands-on and create tutorials and demos with our products for use on social media so you must have creative flair and ability.

We want to increase the ‘social’ aspect of our social media presence so being comfortable producing and appearing in Live Stream videos will be essential.


The successful candidate must have previous experience of managing multiple brand pages, full time. Experience of running successful Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram Ad campaigns. The role will have specific, high revenue targets that we want to realise for all brands.

Extensive knowledge and experience using social media platforms and management dashboards. Knowledge of Google Analytics to produce reports on the effectiveness of social campaigns. Copywriting, content creation, public relations and brand marketing experience, proofreading and editing skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, customer service skills.

Formal Qualifications:

Degree in Marketing or Social Media.
