Futures for Business are proud to be working in conjunction with the Department for Work and Pensions and The Pizza Factory in order to support recruitment for roles within The Pizza Factory, Queens Drive Industrial Estate site. The Pizza Factory are part of a leading food manufacturing company and produce quality food for customers such as Marks & Spencer, Morrison’s and Sainsbury’s.
As part of this SWAP, Futures for Business will be supporting local residents of Nottingham in order to provide them with the skills, attitudes and competencies to have the best chance of success; both in the interview process for the vacancies and the roles themselves.
To do this, Futures for Business will be delivering an accredited qualification selected with The Pizza Factory in Level 1 Employability. The Employability qualification will build confidence and teach key skills surrounding team work and preparing for work. This delivery of employability skills will be tailored towards the roles available at The Pizza Factory with both the tutor and employer supporting the candidate’s mock interviews for the vacancies. Some of the topic areas are as follows.
- Developing personal confidence
- Coping with change
- Working as a team
- Preparing for work
The training will last for 5 days in total, taking place over a 1 week period in October. Each training day will last between the hours of 09.30 and 16.00.
Upon successful completion of the training course, all candidates be guaranteed an interview which will take place the week following the last day of training.
Additionally, upon successful completion, learners will receive formal accreditation through a certificate for their following qualifications. Candidates will be offered further support through NCS which allows ongoing guidance and if unsuccessful after interview, can be supported into other opportunities as they arise.
Futures for Business have an upcoming SWAP opportunity in conjunction with The Pizza Factory to support their recruitment into the production team.
During this programme, learners will complete training to work towards gaining a Level 1 Certificate in Employability. Upon successful completion of the required training, guaranteed interviews will be offered for the role.
All training will take place at The Hub, 40 Friar Lane, Nottingham, NG1 6DQ.
An Information Day and enrolments for this opportunity will be held at The Hub on Wednesday 6th October 2021 at 11.00am and the course will commence on Monday 11th October 2021
In order to be eligible to enrol onto this programme, an individual must meet the following criteria:
- Are aged 19 years old or over (must have turned 19 by 31st August 2021)
- Have lived in the UK or a European Economic Area (EEA) Member state for the last three years or more or be an Individual or Asylum Seeker with certain types of immigration status*
- Are actively seeking employment and claiming an unemployment benefit of either: Universal Credit, Job Seekers Allowance or Employment Support Allowance (WRAG) **
- OR Must be earning under £17,374.50 annual gross salary and be able to commit to the course.
