Assist the Warehouse Manager in maintaining the smooth operation of a fast moving environment. Responsible for the day to day Supervision and organisation of people within the warehouse function, to ensure company's Packing targets and objectives are met to meet customer requirements, helping the Team Leaders to organise their teams to ensure the most effective workflow

Assist the Warehouse Manager in maintaining the smooth operation of a fast moving environment. Responsible for the day to day Supervision and organisation of people within the warehouse function, to ensure company's Packing targets and objectives are met to meet customer requirements, helping the Team Leaders to organise their teams to ensure the most effective workflow. Ensuring that staff comply with health, safety and standard operating procedures. Responsible for housekeeping standards and continuous improvement within the warehouse.

Key responsibilities

  • Implementing new Health and Safety Procedures when given by senior management, maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Helping the warehouse manager implement training and new initiatives.
  • Working with team leaders to optimise efficiency
  • Helping to maintain accurate stock levels by utilising WMS
  • Being responsible for QA of the final products, Identifying errors and working with Team Manager to implement counter measures
  • Being aware of all food safety programs (SALSA) and helping to maintain audit standards
  • Working with senior management to Build team philosophy and cultivate a team atmosphere by working with the team to achieve the company's targets and objectives.
  • Making Sure Team Leaders have the materials they need before the start of a shift, making sure that cleaning rotas are complied with at the end of a shift.
  • Working with warehouse manager to minimise team member absence and to help implement disciplinary and grievance policy.
  • Tracking KPI’s for teams and implementing new targets within a changing environment.

Required experience and attributes

  • Must have worked in a team leader, supervisory or managerial capacity before.
  • Ideally would have worked in a food production facility.
  • Must be able to provide examples of fast paced environments
  • Must be able to react to changing environment quickly
  • Must be keen to improve working environment and suggest improvements to maximise workflow.
